TRichView toolbar icon set - 2

TRichView toolbar icon set - 2

We are happy to present a new set of toolbar images created specially for TRichView.

This set includes (as of 2024-05-29):
  • 16x16 icons: 194 pcs
  • 32x32 icons: 194 pcs
  • 64x64 icons: 43 pcs
  • several additional icons for using in the scrollbar areas of TSRichViewEdit.
This set is based on the first TRichView icon set: http://www.trichview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4319
This set was inspired by Microsoft Windows 8 and Microsoft Word 2013. However, our set does not copy Microsoft images, all images are completely original.

The icons correspond to existing commands in RichViewActions. Additionally, the set includes icons for commands that will be implemented in near future, as well as several general-purpose icons (tools, help).

Requirements

Because of semitransparency, these images can be added in TImageList only in Delphi 2009 or newer. For older versions of Delphi, thirdparty advanced image list components are required.
Ready-to-use datamodules contaning TImageList and TVirtualImageList with these images are included in RichViewActions, ScaleRichView, and ReportWorkhop demos.

Download

The source images can be found here (as ico, bmp and png files):
http://www.trichview.com/rvfiles/trichviewicons2.zip

Price

The images are free for registered TRichView users. This is a Christmas gift.
If you want to use icons without ordering our components, you can order them separately: https://secure.shareit.com/shareit/chec ... 0428800]=1 ($39) - includes both the set 1 and the set 2.

Permissions

You can use these images in your applications. Any other use requires a special permission.
You cannot sell these images or any graphic work created basing on them.

In the first post in this topic, I recommended to use bitmaps to add to image lists, but now I am not sure. Probably it depends on Delphi version.
Initially I used bitmaps myself to create imagelists containing icons from this set, and semitransparent areas were overlighted.
You can compare:
Final version: http://www.trichview.com/shots/rvicons2 ... oolbar.png
Initial version: http://www.trichview.com/shots/rvicons2 ... olbar_.png
It is especially noticeable on "bold", "italic", etc. buttons.

So I can recommend, instead of adding icons to image list manually, using our ready-to-use imagelists (they will be available soon).

Icon design

Is there a chance to ask your designer to make more icons for my application (not for free of course)?
Also with the new trend for high-dpi displays 16x16 icons is not enough.

Hello!
Do you have plans to make SVG version of this icon set for use with DevExpress ImageList?

Yes, we have plans for a new set that can be available as SVG too. But I cannot tell when it will be ready.

Hi!

It seems that the 32x32 icon folders do not contain the same amount of icons as 16x16? Is there a reason for this?

In the initial release, only selected icons had 32x32 size. These icons are typically displayed large in a ribbon interface.
In the current release, all images have 16x16 and 32x32 versions. And selected icons have 64x64 version.

So, the link here is not to the final version then?
There are no 64x64 folders, and the 32x32 icons are but a few in the attached zip-file...

Well, yes, these ZIPs are outdated.
More icons are included in datamodules for RichViewActions projects.
I'll try to update these ZIPs tomorrow or on Monday.

A new version is uploaded.

Content:
  • 16x16 icons: 194 (31 added)
  • 32x32 icons: 194 (162 added)
  • 64x64 icons: 43 (all new)
  • several additional icons for using in the scrollbar areas of TSRichViewEdit.
New icons include: report design and generation icons, new view modes for WYSWIYG text editor, object positioning icons.
