TRichView 18.4: Per-Control VCL styling

Post by Sergey Tkachenko »

Per-Control VCL Styling

Our controls support VCL themes (introduced in RAD Studio XE2).
In editors, they are activated if you assign UseVCLThemes property = True.
Delphi 10.4 allows to set different styles per control. Our components support this feature: you can use StyleName properties of TRichViewEdit, TSRichViewEdit and other visual controls.

RichViewActions (commands and dialogs to build text processor UI) support this feature as well: previews in dialogs use a style of the target editor:

In the example above, the application uses "Tablet Light" theme, while the editor uses "Glow" theme.

TRichView 18.4: other features

Post by Sergey Tkachenko »

Other changes

HTML Export

We improved HTML export (both a simplified HTML and an HTML+CSS versions).
One of the most noticeable tweaks: better HTML code indenting, so it's simpler to read it.

VirtualTree Support

Since this update, our Setup supports the TurboPack's version of Virtual TreeView too (it can be installed from GitHub or using GetIt package manager).
The setup checks which version is installed, and adjusts TRichView+VirtualTree packages accordingly.
