[Demo] LS Speller

Post by Sergey Tkachenko »

Update: all information in this topic is obsolete.
Spell checkers are now included in TRichView setup.
LS Speller is not supported any more, because it makes no sense (it uses spelling checking tools from old versions of Microsoft Office)

Demo (by Stef Mientki http://www.trichview.com/forums/profile ... ofile&u=25)
http://www.trichview.com/support/files/lsspelldemo.zip
In addition to functionality of the first demo, this demo shows how to:
- add words to dictionary
- add words to ignore list
- enable/disable spellchecker
- edit added and ignored wordlists (from within the program)
- check if speller is installed

Update (2007-Sep-29): Simple LS Speller, ASpell and EDSSpell demos were moved to the ZIP with wrappers (rvspell.zip)

I have all components installed, I can run the demo, but it does nothing, the combobox have no items, the "popupmenu" doesnt work, the LiveSpelling doesnt work as well. Do I need anything else to make this work?

Like install RichView with "support" for this component or something like that?

Yes, you need to install RVLSSpell.pas unit from http://www.trichview.com/resources/spell/rvspell.zip
It adds TRVLSSpell to the component palette.

But if the combobox is empty, that means no dictionaries are installed.
You can download them here:

(besides, it can use some (not all!) MS Office dictionaries)

Yeah, that was the problem, now it's working, thank you.
